I've hatched off all the old status posts... only to add a new one. I'm currently updating the firmware on the two Cobb PD BCD996T's. Once complete, we should find digital decode to be improved. Let me know what you think (in another topic, please).

Also I'm turning off the analog system. Now that Cobb Fire has gone digital, there's no need to continue scanning it.

The firmware updates are complete and the scanners back online. Let me know how it sounds.

Just from listening for the past 15 minutes, other than the fact that digital sounds crappy anyways, it does sound like the scanner is a little more steady in decoding the signal. I haven't noticed any chops or cut up transmissions. I will update the Cobb Fire feed when I get a chance, and figure out how to...

I have updated the Cobb Fire feed on the Community owned scanner. Let me know if there are any issues. Hopefully it will work better than it was.

Don't know about everyone else but I felt like after updating the Fire feed scanner, the reception was worse.

I tried making all the different suggestions and even updated to the newest version 3.1.0 but none of that seems to have help. So I have "downgraded" the scanner to a previous firmware version. To me it sounds a bit more stable but let me know what you think. I can always upgrade to the newest firmware version.

Looks like Internet is out where the Cobb PD scanners are located. I'll be able check on it by 4:30 PM or so if it hasn't come back by itself yet.

To all of my loyal listeners.

I have changed my setup a bit and sounds like it has made an improvement, especially for the Cities feed.

I have a 800Mhz yagi antenna that I have been testing with my Pro-197 and it seemed to make a difference. Now I have a 4 port multicoupler attached to the antenna so the antenna now feeds both of the scanners providing online feeds as well as two of my scanners.

If you notice any issues or have suggestions please let me know!

Thanks
