Scan Cobb North and East Down?

They are temporarily down because Lindsay Blanton refused to remove personal information of the feed providers after being requested from his Radio Reference site after being asked politely to do so.

We apologize for the disruption, but in the end it will be a better experience for all in the end.

This is news to me. What "Personal Information" is available for feed providers? I checked my stuff and don't see much other than the little info I have put there myself.

The issue is a lot simpler than described.
RR implemented a new feature that on it's face is pretty neat, how ever the feature resulted in the association of the feed address and the feed that was not preciously associated, we asked if they would make adjustment. Rather than even pretend to be interested in our concerns we were told that not adjustment would be made , and the only way to remove the data was to discontinue the feed and close the ACCOUNT. , so this is what is occurring. an alternative is in the works.

Good luck with that. I remember when about a year ago that this use to be a good site untill it got remanaged. I wish the old provider or someone else would take this over. This went from a GREAT site to NOTHING. Give us back what we had.

Is there a way to confirm that this East/West Cobb scan is even working?
I've dropped by here and there and it seems to never be working anymore. Shocked

Since it looks like a couple of the previous feed providers decided to discontinue their feeds I've updated the ScanCobb.com home page to link to the remaining feeds that volunteers are providing for the RadioReference.com site.

Note, even though I'm the Live Audio administrator for RadioReference.com (and have been for a couple of years), I have no idea what the issue referred to above could have been that couldn't have been corrected.

Gordon, the issue is the feed provider. Can someone not get this position back and get this site back online?

Never have I seen an entire web site be ruined by one person. Can't one of the other regular members take this over?

I don t think it has been ruined however RR did make it less friendly to people that were willing to spend time and money to provide a service for free. Gordon has been great but the rest of the crew there want to tell you what you can and cannot do with your own equipment. In my case there was a problem when I was out of town and before I could get home and correct the problem they were sending me rude and insulting email.

Not ruined? If the feed is permanently down, how can that be the case?
I will agree the ScanCobb was so much better than it is after going to RR, but come on, shutting off feed because you want private feed?
Actually, private feed gave me concerns when phone numbers and names were passed over the air.
